Tai Chi Chiang Mai Thailand

Tai Chi Chiang Mai

Tai Chi, otherwise know as Tai Chi Ch'uan or Tai Ji Quan, (supreme ultimate fist) is an internal martial art discipline, dating back over 500 years. Many who are curious about Tai Chi Chuan are not aware that Tai Chi is a martial art and only know Tai Chi for it smooth, soft and harmonious body movements. When a curious student embarks on learning Tai Chi Chuan, they must be able to integrate the soft and hard aspects of the art, it is not necessary for the student to become too rigid and learn only one aspect and forfeit the other, we must learn to embrace the whole art for what it is. Tai Chi requires a good strong foundation and root, good body dynamics, good core strength, solid awareness, structural relaxation, peaceful mind, relax breathing and solid commitment in learning Tai Chi Ch'uan. A good Tai Chi teacher will be aware of these elements and would be able to lead a student in the right direction, the student would need to develop patience in learning as the Teacher would have already mastered this aspect in their practice and teaching. It is very important that we try and master each step before moving to the next, this helps to develop a strong foundation, we have to remember any imbalance in our practice would have the potential to create imbalance in our lives also.. Those that have the commitment in Tai Chi can improve and deepen their awareness and practice and learn to harmonize themselves with the natural elements of their surroundings, so a natural environment is very conductive in learning Tai Chi as it helps us to embrace our own internal energy with the energy of our surroundings, eventually leading the student to the higher levels of Tai Chi practice which is to master not the external warrior like in many of the hard style martial
arts but to establish our connection to the internal warrior deep within ourselves.

We offer training Tai Chi in Chiang Mai at Body and Mind Healing: You can start with a short Tai Chi Introduction and if time permits you can continue to learn Tai Chi and move to the next step of your practice. You can also combine your Tai Chi Training with our Qigong classes in Chiang Mai, which are complimentary with one another.
